August 16 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm UTC+0$15
This lecture will provide some interesting information about how Jerry developed, and where he acquired some of the gilding formulas which originated from the 11th century. Lecture and demonstration will include dye experimentation.
Dye experimentation, which was a process used as early as the 6th century to figure out how to dye vellum Purple – as the color of royalty. These photos show my first successful attempt. One on a half sheet of vellum , the other on Arches CP watercolor paper . Both were gilded with 23k patent gold and variegated gold.
